Today was my last day teaching at Hokowhitu School as I am leaving to take up a teaching position at Russell Street School in Palmerston North. This afternoon Network Nine dug up the Time Capsule that they burried in Week 1 of Term 1. Here is a little movie about our CO2 Car Unit. Enjoy! Here is some video footage from Thursday’s CO2 Race Day. Here is the little movie I played in Assembly last week to promote the Tui Team Teacher Race. Over the last couple of days we have been racing our CO2 cars at Hokowhitu School. It was awesome fun!!! Yesterday Network Nine presented assembly with a Racing Car theme. The presenters sat in Go-Carts and did a great job. Here is a fun little game to help with your Basic Facts! Wow, what a result!! The All Whites drew 1-1 with Slovakia in their opening game of the Football World Cup. Winston Reid scored the equaliser in injury time to give us our first ever world cup points. Check out our finished CO2 Racing Cars! We have worked really hard on these and finally finished them on Friday. Ahoy there! Check out this great view we have from our classroom windows. Mr B only has 7 school days left before he heads off to his new job at Russell Street School. Try out this cool mind reader game I got off Moturoa’s Blog. It’s kinda cool! Today we were lucky enough to have Amy-Mae’s Mum and Dad come into class as Mystery Readers. They taught us all about their home town of Nottingham and took turns at reading a book about Robin Hood. This Friday, June 11th, South Africa will step onto the world stage as host nation of the 2010 FIFA World Cup as the international soccer tournament begins – welcoming 32 teams from around the world. |
