The London UndergroundThis week in class we have been learning a little bit about the London Underground. This all started because Dalton bought in a book written by his Granddad called ‘Photographic Collection of the London Tube Network 2008′. The book is amazing and has a picture of every Tube Station in London. Mr B used to live in London for 2 years so I have especially been enjoying looking back at some of my favourite stations. Also London is my favourite city in the world. I think the Tube is just incredible and used to enjoy travelling on it every day to get to work. In Maths we have been learning about Maps so today we studied the Tube Map and had to answer some questions. This really got us thinking. Anyway, a big thanks goes out to Dalton’s Granddad and his awesome book.

This sounds like great fun! I also lived in London for about the same time as Mr B!!
Just wondered if you have looked at some of the entrance ways to these places using google maps??
Enjoy your party and I hope that Normandale has helped you read such an awesome figure!!
Thanks Mrs C, Normandale has definitely helped us reach 12,000 hits!!!! We appreciate your support. We haven’t checked out Google Maps but will tomorrow.
London is a great city, when were you there?? No one has nominated us for the edublogs awards but fingers crossed someone does. We are a bit over awards after what happened in the Interface ones.
I think this is cool learning about london and this is awsome too .
Now you are making me feel old! I was in London July 95- November 97! Feels like a lifetime ago! I’m going to send you a google maps thing that we did here, I thought it was great, lots of searching, location, direction and celebration!
sorry if you are over it but the world has to see…. consider yourself nominated.

How do you get that cool running feed of comments that you have on you left hand side???
On tuesday when we talked about WW2 Japan almost took up all of the pasfic ocean.
If the children had fun looking at it then I’m over the moon If they had fun, imagine the fun I had doing it and compiling it.
But it was always the weekly telephone encouragement from Dalton and his brother, Connor that moved me on.
Keep up the good work FAB4
